Anybody have access to a breakdown of years and serial number breaks for 920 platforms?

Is this stuff available to customers on JD's site any place? Serial Numer breakdown: SNT = Serial Numbered Tractor 10 = Model 110 (if this number was 12, then the tractor would be a model 112) 3 = Tire Code (GT-3 tires = 23x8.5-12 high floatation rears/16x6.5-8 fronts1 = Manual Lift (if this number was a 2, then the tractor would have hydraulic lift).

End shields, dividers, auger and floor and reel are pretty good indicators of how it's been run. Still looking, hope to find something that is up my standards. The breakdown goes as this. All serial numbers you are interested in, end with 6 numbers. The first three will identify year model. I will give you some examples and they break like this. 1989 starts with 630xxx.

1990-635xxx 1991-640xxx and so on. 1998-675xxx, 1999-680xxx, 2000-685xxx, 2001-690xxx, and so on. 5000 numbers available for each year production. Hope this helps. Posted 11/2/2013 14:07 (#3419669 - in reply to #3419640) Subject: Re: JD 920 platform serial numbers and years.

Morris, IL Keep looking Von. We found a 922 that was up to our standards. Yours might be little higher but not much, we are pretty particular farmers over here in north east Illinois. They are out their, I looked for about two years. I hope finding a nice 95xx doesn't turn into such a challenge. So the last 6 digits starting with 671 would be a 1997 model correct? No way its a 2000 model! Thank you so much!!!! We had a 925 that developed a bad shake and we could never correct it until we traded it off for another head. Sold my 920 a couple years back to a guy on here that refurbished and resold them. I'd have to go back through my records to come up with a name. I think he was in Minn. Or Wisconsin. When I found the one I have now, I remember I drug a head trailer a lot of miles to a lot of sales and farmsteads before I ended up with one that was only about 50 miles from me. I will say it matters more what you find under the stainless sheets than about anything else except of course if it is straight or not.
